Until such time as the provisions of Charter, Art. XI, §§ 1 et seq. are implemented, the Council shall employ a City Magistrate who shall have the powers and duties assigned by Chapter 6 of this code and by statute generally. The City Magistrate shall be appointed by the Council and shall serve at the pleasure of the Council for a term of two years and may be reappointed. (Prior Code, § 3-1-3)
