The office of City Attorney shall be filled as provided by the Charter, and the City Attorney shall have such powers and duties as are assigned by the Charter, together with such other powers and duties not inconsistent with the Charter or other law as may be assigned by the Council. The City Attorney shall serve at the pleasure of the Council and may be removed by a majority vote of the members of the Council then holding office. (Prior Code, § 3-1-2)
