(A) It is unlawful to recklessly cause damage to the public water system.

(B) Any person causing damage to the public water system or injury to City employees, directly or indirectly, shall be responsible for the payment of the cost of any repairs, replacements or damages which may be billed to the responsible party and/or added to the customer’s utility bill, and if such charges are not paid, utility services may be discontinued and the outstanding amount due sent to collections and a lien filed against the property, if applicable.

(C) Upon payment of costs for repair and the reconnection fee, water services will be reinstated within three business days of receipt of payment. (Ord. 06-1012, passed 6-26-2006; Am. Ord. 14-1299, passed 8-18-2014. Formerly 14-7-2)
