§ 12A-2-11 Tampering; Monitoring/sampling equipment, pretreatment device.
(A) No person, without lawful authority, shall knowingly do any of the following:
(1) Alter, interfere, modify, remove, damage, or destroy any public or privately owned monitoring or sampling equipment, or any part of the monitoring or sampling equipment, in a manner that could improperly modify the readings, analysis or operation of the monitoring or sampling equipment.
(2) Alter, bypass, or reroute the discharge or flow of wastewater in a manner that could improperly modify the readings, analysis or operation of the monitoring or sampling equipment.
(3) Alter, modify, tamper, damage, destroy or bypass a pretreatment device in a matter that could improperly modify the readings, analysis or operation of a pretreatment device.
(B) A violation of this section is subject to all civil and criminal penalties provided in Article 1-8 and Chapter 18 of the Goodyear City Code. (Ord. 14-1290, passed 3-3-2014; Am. Ord. 23-1584, passed 9-25-2023)
