(A) The owner or the owner’s designee of the STR shall perform sex offender background checks on STR booking guests (to avoid a violation of Section 8-2-4(A)(3)); or, the owner of the STR may advertise and offer the STR through an online lodging marketplace that performs sex offender background checks on STR booking guests.

(B) A violation of this Section 8-2-8 is a civil offense subject to the appropriate fine for a verified violation pursuant to Section 8-2-9(A) and (B). (Ord. 22-1555, passed 9-12-2022)
