(A) Before offering a STR for rent for the first time, the owner or the owner’s designee of the STR shall notify all single-family residential properties adjacent to, directly, and diagonally across the street from the STR property. Notice shall be deemed sufficient in a multi-family residential building if given to residents on the same building floor. The owner or the owner’s designee of the STR shall provide the City with the following information upon request:

(1) The address of each neighboring single-family property or multi-family unit notified; and

(2) A description of the manner in which the owner or owner’s designee chose to provide notification to each property subject to notification.

(B) A violation of this Section 8-2-5 is a civil offense subject to the appropriate fine for a verified violation pursuant to Section 8-2-9(A) and (B). (Ord. 22-1555, passed 9-12-2022)
