(A) All Alarm Businesses shall use ECV as provided in this chapter prior to requesting a response from Public Safety Personnel. ECV is not required for robbery, duress, or panic alarm.

(B) All Alarm Businesses shall collect and maintain current records of all Alarm Systems including specific information regarding the nature, type and location of the Alarm and designated zones.

(C) All Alarm Businesses shall collect and maintain current records of all Alarm Users which include, but is not limited to, the names and telephone numbers of Primary Users and the address where the Alarm System is located; names and telephones numbers of the Alarm Users designated Responsible Parties, and other contact information necessary to be used to comply with ECV and Responsible Party notification. The Alarm Business shall provide this information to the Central Monitoring Station and/or Alarm Monitoring Business. It is the responsibility of the Alarm Business to update this information annually.

(D) All Alarm Businesses shall maintain the Alarm User’s current complete password, including the proper spelling.

(E) A central alarm monitoring station used by an alarm business shall meet the Underwriters Laboratory (UL) or Factory Mutual (FM) standards.

(F) Provide the Alarm Monitoring Business and/or Central Monitoring Station ALL of the following information for each account monitored including but not limited to:

(1) All information required to comply with the Enhanced Call Verification requirements, which includes two telephone numbers for Residential Alarm Systems and four numbers for Non-residential Alarm Systems;

(2) Type of Alarm: burglary, robbery, panic, duress and/or fire;

(3) Type of activation: silent or audible;

(4) Specifically describe location of activations (including zones): interior, exterior, north, south, east, west, front, back of premises, window, door, motion sensors, etc.; and

(5) If there are dogs or guns on the premises. (Ord. 12-1252, passed 2-13-2012)
