(A) When required by the City, the owner of any property served by a building sewer carrying industrial wastes shall install suitable monitoring facilities in the building sewer to facilitate observation and sampling of wastes. Such facilities, when required, shall be accessible and safely located and shall be constructed in accordance with plans approved by the City and Section 12A-6-1. The monitoring facilities shall be installed by the owner at his or her expense and shall be maintained by him or her so as to be safe and accessible at all times.

(B) All tests and analyses of the characteristics of waters and wastes shall be determined in accordance with Section 12A-5-10 and shall be determined at the monitoring facilities provided for in this section.

(C) Monitoring inspection fees and costs for sampling and analysis of industrial wastewater shall be charged to the customer in addition to regular sewer charges. (Ord. 14-1290, passed 3-3-2014; Am. Ord. 23-1584, passed 9-25-2023)
